  • Watch the ABC iView documentary on traveling to Mars.
  • Create a Keynote presentation (due next week) explaining the features of one of the Mars Robot (Opportunity, Spirit... )
    • Explain why those features are important to the functioning of the robot in relation to
      • its tasks
      • its environment
    • In relation to the Mars environment, explain why...
      • it is easier to send robots than humans to Mars.
      • it is safer for robots to be on Mars than humans.
  • The decent into the martian atmosphere is particularly dangerous. What features do the landing craft use to minimise the risk of damage to the robots they carry?

This task will contribute to the research component of your report grade for this subject.
